Singer and actor, former Vogue cover star and famously Princess Jasmine in Disney’s live-action Aladdin, multihyphenate Naomi Scott knows the art of performance. From her days spent singing in the church choir to her first audition (for a Dutch insurance commercial), Scott reveals how to get noticed, the skills needed to successfully self-tape, and how to deal with imposter syndrome. She tackles the topic of finding the confidence to speak up when things don’t feel right, and her rules for maintaining a healthy relationship with social media (firstly, no phones in the bedroom). The most important takeaway? “Success isn’t what you do, but who you are”, Scott says. “Always be curious and keep learning, don’t shy away from the things you’re not good at – lean into them.”
