U.S. Pacific Command Commander Admiral Harry Harris took a swing at Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest during his speech at a Pearl Harbor anniversary commemoration.
Completely unnecssary remark. I'm an Army veteran who works for the military now. We should be fighting for folks to have free speech (1st Amendment) rights. The "take a knee" nonsense did not hurt anyone physically it was about others wanting to assert control over others. While folks at home eating wings, pizza, or in the bathroom during the National Anthem, they expected other to act "appropriately." Have you seen the beer lines at football games during the anthem? They're huge. So, let's not pretend this was anything other than what it was a peaceful protest that most right-wing folks hated. Plain and simple. Poilical correctness is really about one thing, trying to be respectful of differences. The world is gray, not black and white.
Lets not forget about all the other privileged chump athletes who did the same thing. Oh yea, and lets not forget about the goofball overrated, privileged so called athletes who wore those goofy social statements on the back of their jerseys instead of their names. Asswipes, every single one of em.
Yet you go to wrong country to fight and destroy millions and allow the villains our cesspool of senators to survive and stay quite…your brave man sir .. Just do as your told.
This just means you don't know your own history. Because in Fort Bragg NC there is a statue of a soldier named "IRON MIKE" taking a knee holding up the AMERICAN Flag. He did it to say when you can't stand take a knee to hold the value of our Country and GOD. The Flag and the National Anthem are one in the same they represent in our Country. It was a Soldier that told Kaepernick to take a knee in Honor of upholding the values of the Country and in prayer to GOD. People take a knee to pray and to honor Royalty. Sounds like racism to me. WE THANK ALL OF YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY IN EVERY BRANCH OF MILITARY. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Peace and Love Always
Military Vet here and I will say this, Whether I agree or disagree with kneeling, we fought for that right to do so, So your opinion does not matter Mr. Admiral, and you should be stripped of your Chevrons for your statement alone. You obviously do not understand or feel the pain of others. Listen 1st before you comment, you do not deserve the leadership you were promoted too.
