Economy in downturn and people restless, what do you do ? Same as Putin and Hitler … go to war. China will invade Taiwan if it cannot keep it's economy and it's people from becoming restless.

According to the World Bank, China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty over the past 40 years. 91% of Chinese reported there are happy with the country. But there are potentially 9% or over 126 million of them unhappy with China.
I see; a few of them are here.

I live in China. Sorry for the Covid!
Everything is miserable here, but no one dares to complain.
Seriously, if there is next life, I wish to be born in any other country, except China.

Betting on China 🇨🇳 is a bad bet anyhow.
Basically, Chinese economy is very sick. There's no cure.
