It's the 0DTE options creating this YTD disconnect.

She missed this move higher and coming off as bit grumpy. Market is looking ahead 12 months out. Q1 and 2/3 of Q2 will be recession.

The disconnect is that they are trying to use standard metrics against a catastrophic event. You are going to see massive dislocations that will make you see March 2020 as the end of the world (not), 2021 as a beginning of nirvana (not), 2022 as beginning of free money (not), and 2023 as the beginning of a bear market (not).

If you feel comfortable following the "consensus", then go ahead. Let me know how that ever put you on the "right side" of an investment. Consensus 2000, bull and we all retire before 50. Consensus 2008, everyone gets rich owning a house. Consensus 2020, the world is coming to an end.

Let's just be honest here: EVERYONE is scared to the core the stock market earnings are kaput! If you are buying, you are buying with your butt-hole puckered. That's where you wanna be folks.

Market technical on big time scale is strongly suggesting that a BIG turn is underway.

I cannot believe how obvious of a bear market rally this is and how bullish these people are. Like damn even if it is the beginning of a new bull market things wont go straight up! At least wait for a nice pullback, wow.

Edit: also reminder. We NEVER SAW CAPITULATION which almost every bear market should see in order to form a true bottom. But whatever, I guess.
