Donald Trump established the Donald J. Trump Foundation in 1988 as a private foundation. A private foundation does not solicit donations from outside donors.
Through 2015, Trump contributed $5.5 million to the Trump Foundation while outside donors contributed an additional $9.3 million. Since making a $35,000 gift in 2008, Trump has made no additional personal donations to the foundation.
On December 24, 2016, Trump said he intended to dissolve the foundation.
The foundation's 2016 Internal Revenue Service filing, submitted in November 2017, also said the foundation intends to dissolve and was seeking approval to distribute its remaining funds to other charities; however, at the time the office of the New York State Attorney General blocked the dissolution citing an ongoing investigation.
Between 1988 and 2016, several Legal and ethical controversies plagued the foundation: Solicitation of donations without a license, Foundation grants as political advertisements, Failure to make pledged 9/11 donations, Using Trump Foundation money to settle Trump Organization legal disputes, Donation to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Grants allegedly made for political purposes, Purchasing goods and services for personal or business benefit with foundation money and many more.
In filing its 2015 IRS Form 990 (filed in 2016 while under investigation by the New York State Attorney General's office), the foundation appears to admit that it had, in previous years, engaged in self-dealing and illegal transfers of funds to "disqualified persons". This is not a witch hunt. This is not politically motivated. This is suing a Foundation for illegal actions. Period.

I truly believe trump really ran because he had all these lawsuits and he owe money to so many people. He's a rip-off artist and thought he could become president so he could make money with other governments from other countries. He thinks he like a smart man and everyone is dumb. Some "dissolving"… whereas in Trumpland, it's the opposite. He has TWO enormous projects going on in Indonesia. And he's bolstering them, not dissolving them. What's the point of debating any of Trump's actions? He's just going to continue doing whatever he wants anyway. It's difficult to force Trump to obey the law when half of the country feels he shouldn't have to obey any laws at all.
Those same people still think he's "draining the swamp" and wiping out ISIS and building a wall and deporting millions of Muslims.

It appears Trump supporters are the worst winners I've ever seen. It seems like the floodgates of hate have sprung open and we're now flooded with verbal (and written) diarrhea of the nastiest kind. The problem I'm seeing is that so many of these people claim to be Christian. I can hardly judge someone's relationship with God, but we are told that "you'll know them by their fruits." Their fruits are rotten at the moment. What purpose does it serve to keep up the divisive rhetoric? Never before has our country been so split by politics. If Trump really cared about our nation, he'd be tweeting to bring us together, instead of whining about supposed slights. He needs to be better than that. So do his supporters.

I would also like to point out that the American people are not stupid, when we follow a celeb or politician on twitter or facebook it is with the understanding that the information we receive will be properly vetted because of the mass scrutiny from the media.
With the exception of a few like Donald Trump, That info comes straight from the horses mouth. But please, continue to judge him because it only demonstrates how far away from your audience you have become.
