What Is Green Hydrogen And Will It Power The Future?

Published

on

Hydrogen is a clean-burning molecule, meaning that it can help to decarbonize a range of sectors that have proved hard to clean up in the past. But today, most hydrogen is produced from CO2-emitting fossil fuels. Hydrogen produced from renewable electricity, known as green hydrogen, could be the solution to cutting our carbon footprint. But first, it must overcome a number of challenges.

HYDROGEN COULD BE A disaster , FLAMMABLE with a mix of Oxygen or Air, it means using hydrogen emits something because of the factors r ingredients that makes HYDROGEN

I think Green Hydrogen has a role to play but is not the future fuel that will save the planet but it will help. The uptake of Green Hydrogen will certainly help lower C02 emmisions and has a role to play where a substitute fuel is needed that is carbon neutral. Hydrogen engines have promise for shipping as do diesel battery hybrids with Hydrogen turbines for power generation a reality.

Hydrogen is the brilliant and wisest way to become carbon-neutral world, NetZero, by 2050, as we often keep saying. The costs? Yes, the cost will surely come down, as with any other technologies. But think of the cost of not becoming carbon-neutral! So, let’s welcome hydrogen fuel cells now. Otherwise, we miss the clean world bus….

Costs a huge amount of energy to produce and a lot to liquefy, some more to regasify for burning, fuel cells or whatever, same energy production and cost. Much better to find a chemical way to carry hydrogen. A complicated molecule is then difficult to break down to utilize for energy, so a simple molecule is best. Most substances, such as metals, can't be used without creating toxic substances. One at least is toxic itself, NH3. CH4 will work just fine.

If Tesla batteries are anything like quadcopter batteries, they're not all their cracked up to be.
For one, after you used them for a while they lose their range of life between charges.
2, they lose their punch after 3/4 of the charge cycles of the battery life…
It's nothing better than his "Not a Flamethrower"… Just an expensive lighter.

Why don’t we add Chart hydrogen tanks to semis with some new tuning to allow a 10% hydrogen mixture to long haul trucks? like NOS for semis. Greater range and emissions and you can still run on diesel if the hydrogen tank is empty.

No, hydrogen is limited. What will happens if it runs out of hydrogen?

THE TIME FOR WIND AND SOLAR IS CLOSING

As of today Green energy is in real jeopardy of loosing its credibility.

The public are becoming aware of the issues of having landfill made of green technology waist Wind farm blades today being cut up and placed in landfill Or Even worst ground up and added to wet concrete and solar is no better than wind for recycling.

Now other ideas are growing but are they good ? Pump hydro requires 40% more power than is returned so the power bill rises

Now i am not saying make more dams before those that know my tech far from it Just Make It More Efficient… My system is retro fittable to water and hydro dams to make more power from the same current flow rate. Now let me add 100yrs life and dam near 100% recyclable

Definitely this is the future, methanol liquid fuel to fuel methanol fuel cell (and then electric motor without battery with way longer range and "rechargable" by refueling liquid methanol in just a minute just like any diesel engine. This is the future, better than "normal hydrogen" because methanol is a liquid fuel directly and easy derived from green hydrogen and way better usable than hydrogen because no need compression pressure storage and or ultra low temperature needed. Methanol liquid room temperature fuel is just a drop replacements in any gas station with little modification and same happens even with combustion engine but obviously fuel cell Ev gives more efficiency .

Hydrogen is not an energy source, but rather an inefficient means of energy storage. Hydrogen has no color, what has color is the energy source, according to Sabine's video:
Hydrogen Will Not Save Us. Here's Why.
    https://youtu.be/Zklo4Z1SqkE?si=JYMwZITEzmNCtWE3
We need to replace the large consumption of fossil fuels with other energy-dense SOURCES:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_density

Solar and wind energy are expensive and insufficient for this. Wind vanes generate little energy and are expensive and much larger than hydraulic turbines, as air is approximately a thousand times less dense than water. Wind also cannot be stored as easily and economically in large dams as water.

Storing solar energy is also difficult, and it is already excessively used in the production of food, biomass, etc.

Solar energy per square meter is also little and expensive, it consumes many solar panels, where space is increasingly rare due to the demographic explosion (human epidemic) that began 4000 years BC, when man began to plant and domesticate animals.

The population explosion increased in the Industrial Revolution in 1800 AD. Our ancestors had too many children, consequently new generations will have to have fewer.

i live in Canton Ohio and the RTA started buying Hydrogen buses now they have like 10 zero emission buses they got goverment tax brakes and they went through a company called clean engery they also make renewable natural gas from landfills and dairy farms

Keep it simple stupid !!! The power needed to make a kilo of gas is not green the return is not there if you hooked this idea to a battery bank like the one Mr MUSK placed in OZ it would fail the load on it is to high

When they split H2O how about the "waste" oxygen can it also be used stored or captured? It cost me $90 to fill my oxy cylinder, can we make that stuff cheaper?

They are not even entertaining the idea of hydrogen that is how you know they are not serious they want to eliminate all sources of fuel except for batteries and electric then all they have to do is turn off the switch and everyone dies agenda 2030
