Hussein Chalayan’s demi-couture collection for Goga Ashkenazi’s Vionnet is unlike anything else the house has ever done before. Taking inspiration from industrial design aspects, such as spiral staircases, furniture, and electric wires, this collection is graphic to say the least. The spiral staircase came in the form of a five-layer techno organza bias-cut dress with single seams and laser-cut concentric circles in varying degrees of sheerness. All in all, the collection was a success.
