We think not!
Mitch McConnell is not acting as if his own life was ever at risk. He is trying to play off an, at best, homicidal narcissistic president attacking Congress via violent domestic terrorism.
How could then Senate Majority leader, Mitch McConnell, ever allow an insurgent-inciting criminal to stay in charge of our national security and our country after he committed treason?
How was Trump able to neutralize our Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense while our Capitol and Congress were attacked?

Most of our republicans representatives and senators are only interested in nurturing their ambitious political and personal careers, forgetting in most cases the people who "supposedly" allowed their current political position through their votes. When I say supposedly, is because many of those politicians accept extravagant donations from these large corporations, and then in gratitude they will defend the interests of these corporations, trampling and outraging not only the interests of the people, but also our democracy.
What take us to question the possibility that their elections instead of being a fair and legal election, is on the contrary a position bought by those donors for whom they will start working once they have been sworn into office.
