Modern Galatea Wardrobe by Farhad Re, Paris Couture Spring/Summer 2021

In the midst of lockdown Farhad Re felt himself like Pygmalion creating a light, sculptural, architectural silhouette for his Galatea. The designer used 500 meters of organza to create the 15 dresses of the collection. In this project futurism meets mythology, perfectly mastered and hand-shaped  geometric shapes form each dress.

We call Paris one of the four fashion capitals, together with Milan, New York and London, but truly Paris is nothing less but the only fashion capital of the world. We aren’t stating that just out of pure love for the City of Lights but merely as a fact. This magnificent city is the cradle of fashion.
