This show was perhaps the biggest celebration of racial and body diversity in any of the Fashion Week presentation this season. Brown girls literally stepped out on the runway for his show. The step teams, who were recruited from the U.S. for the show, include one team called “Step With Momentum” based in New York City. We catch up with the models, the designer, and guests at the show in this video. Designer, Rick Owens tells us, ” I was thinking about teams. Teams can be about unity, they can be about bonding, they can be about creating your own family, under the best circumstances they can be about sportsmanship, under the worst circumstances they can be about conflict or war, so it’s kind of this healthy, wonderful thing that has this dark undertone.”
