Jillian, your my kind of girl! Conflict resolution skills only go so far with some people. Some bullies don't care, & I agree that you need to teach children to defend themselves, & sometimes that may mean they have to be courageous and fight. We're from generation X, & so we would if necessary fight & resolve the issue. Those bullies usually will back down when they see you have no fear of them, & will eventually retaliate.

I teach my kids its not okay to run your mouth either…its still bullying and there are consequences to that. This world is tough so you gotta teach em to open that can of woop a** when someone is persistent in trying to bring them down.
