Anyone can make money trading everyday if you manipulate the market and have insider info. We'll just throw out the Volcker rule, a law that prohibits banks from trading in their proprietary accounts.
He's bragging about making money on the trading desks every day. It's no special accomplishment if all you do is market making. So he's probably doing prop trading. SEC, federal reserve, and other regulators need to investigate
