Actor Jason Alexander apologizes for saying the cast did not want to work with the actress who played Susan, his fiancee on “Seinfeld.” CNN’s Richard Roth explains.
Them having no chemistry was why it was funny. George got stuck in an engagement with a girl he didn't love or often appear to even like. It really came across they were getting married just because they wanted to get married and it could have been to anyone lol.
She must have felt horrible to learn how how cast felt about her. As i fan watching, i never noticed anything wrong with her interacting with the rest of the cast.
Alexander has a very high opinion of himself doesnt he. Great actor but anyone with a brain knows Larry is 90 percent od why the show was sp good. When Larry called him about the susan arch he said so whos playing George? Thats straight egomaniac stuff
holy shit CNN, this was actually a great video. adding that clip at the end. all that was missing was the classic slap bass riff, but of course there mightve been copyright issues with music so i understand.
I liked the Susan character and how well she DIDN'T work with the other characters. that was the point. to find out she actually had bad chemistry with them IRL just makes it even better. Kinda like how when Exra Miller acts crazy in the The Flash movie AND real life, it enhances the movie for me.
I never once felt she didn't fit the show… the awkwardness was what made her character work. You don't need everyone to be funny all the time. A straight man is pretty much required.
Yeah, poor form by Jason. And kind of throwing Julia under the bus as well, as if to say "it wasn't just me."
I've seen several interviews of Jason and I think he comes across as a jerk. No wonder he was never awarded an Emmy, even though he most certainly deserved one.
Really mean spirited on the part of Alexander. Just keep your mouth shut. You had life altering success and a huge payout. Keep your mouth shut about an actor you happened to dislike.
