The Medical Exam Of The Future
CNBC’s Christina Farr tests out Lab100 at Mount Sinai in New York. It’s a hybrid clinic and research lab that uses the latest technology including 3D body scans and VR to help people get a better understanding of their health and prevent future disease.
Over the past few years, Mount Sinai has been incubating a program called Lab100 that aims to reinvent the health checkup. The idea is to incorporate the latest consumer technologies, like virtual reality and 3-D body scanners, while maintaining a close relationship between the patient and their practitioner.

This notion of the med exam of the future exploits the available technology but keeps the current role hierarchy the same.. the actual future med exam will be more distributed, and probably mainly home based, a combination of trained nurses and the automated AI technology replacing the conventionsl GP or clinic visit…
