I didn't prepare this cake for a while. That's why I was googling the recipe and came across this video. It's croatian "Stonska torta" and it is so delicious. Looking forward to tasting it again….🥮

This is called Stonska torta named after small town called Ston on the Pelješac peninsula in Croatia.Ston is also known for his very long medival walls.

pasta isn’t savory in itself, it’s a vessel for people to add sauces/flavors so a sweet pasta dish isn’t really that blasphemous

Tbh.. for the pastry dough around the outside to be that stretchy.. it would have to be kneaded to all hell.. would be more like bread texture after cooking

Just once I’d like to see a dessert recipe from Tasty that doesn’t use vanilla extract. What do I have against vanilla extract? Nothing really, I use it myself when I’m cooking things that I want to be vanilla flavoured. But Tasty puts vanilla extract in EVERYTHING. Like it’s a flavour enhancer instead of a flavouring. Citrus dish – vanilla extract. Chocolate dish – vanilla extract. Coffee, mint, apple, strawberry, caramel – all competing with the damned vanilla.
