Honeybees aren't native. Think 'someone famous is being brought in from another country to do my job, but they are super high maintenance and they aren't very efficient'…that's honeybees. There are soo many different types of pollinators and they're all at risk. Native bees do far more work than imported bees. Native bees are usually solitary bees- each one is a 'queen' so there's no swarming or hive mentality, and hosting them doesn't require any special equipment or effort.

We drove across country last year and had almost no bugs on our windshield. It was actually frightening. The bugs are all dying out and no one seems to care.

It is too late…we killed off the flowers because of a lie. Long ago, we were sold the American dream of houses with white pickets fences and green manicured lawns. Years and years of chemical abuse and weeding…WE CAUSED THIS. Even weeds produce flowers and flowers are their food but stupid humans don't care…gotta have that green lawn. We need bees for food but we have allowed out food to be held hostage anyways. If you actually care…start planting flowers and let your lawn grow. Demand your town, city, village plant more flowers and fruit and nut bearing trees. People wake up and STOP allowing our food to be held hostage…if everyone planted just one flower – it would make a HUGE difference.

He's talking about the honeybees that were removed from colonies, so their natural habitat, for studies & experiments. Who would have thought applying stressors like pesticides would half their lifespans in just a few decades? Maybe just leave bees alone, I understand they're used to pollinate farms & crops but don't put them in labs & experiment on them.

We all need to stop using fertilizer and weed killers on our yards. Government needs to ban all these very dangerous pesticides. Make them illegal to use and produce.

We have known the importance of bee's for decade's. A program to replenish is needed.

This segment is way too short!!! What factors seem most detrimental? What do scientists recommend we do? How can we help? Planting wildfloers or other flowering plants (like clover instead of grass where possible & flowering trees surely is useful!)

The world needs to understand the importance of actual science which requires actual investigation with things called statistics before running off the news headlines. Provide adequate proof not just your subjective viewpoint or else you're just a news headline. What he is saying may be true. But what he has said is hypothesis until he says we did actual statistical investigation. I did not hear anything like that in this article

We need to do everything we can to save bees. I remember as a kid I used to be scared of them, but now they are my favorite insects alongside butterflies
