I love how theres more noise for the away team than the home team. Ottawa fans suck, they leave before the game even ends

Wow another multi-goal game! 698 now! 40 goals and on pace for 60 this year.

Gordie Howe retired in 1980 when he was 52! He is second after Gretzky on goals. Ovi might be able to play through his 40th as well. Who knows he could hit 1000 mark.

Can I I get 1000 goals?
@weree2

What is crazy is that if he hadn't gone through the lockouts which robbed him of atleast 70 goals, Ovi could have not only shattered the goal record but possibly be in the running for reaching 1000.

Its awesome that hes done this in less games then most of the top ten (except Lemieux) hes gonna get at least 20 more at this pace maybe hes got another 50 in him next year then he regress's to 30- 35 passing Gordie is attainable Gretzkys possible if he plays til 40

If he stays healthy he’s gonna blow right by Gretzky. And I can’t wait for it to happen

The biggest key no one mentions during Ovie's current tear is Backstrom. Look where Ovie was when Backstrom was out of the line up. He was well back of Pasta. With a healthy Backstrom returned he's even Pasta and about to blow past him.

Hell just being up there with Yzerman and Mess would be a good career for me. Those are easily my 2 favorite captains.

You know what would be cool? -and this is a ways off, but what if Ovechkin ties Gretsky then retires? Wouldn't that be a GOAT move….
