Many haven’t always taken it seriously because of its young vibe and oversaturated stint in retail, but Topshop is still making a name for itself, even without Kate Moss at the helm. Another stylist has taken the reigns this time–one Kate Phelan who hails from British Vogue and became Creative Director of the label only last June. Phelan brought in the trends–many oversize everything, leather and wool fabrics, military motifs, and a street meets runway aesthetic which is sure to be a hit with the locals. At the end, a gaggle of gorgeous party dresses hit the floor, in a stray for the norm but one that will be a hit with the higher-ups who want more than just retail.
