Australian Central Bank Holds Rate; Says Can’t Rule Out Further Hikes
The Reserve Bank of Australia kept key interest rate at 4.35% as expected by all the economist surveyed by Bloomberg, and the central bank says a further increase in rates “cannot be ruled out.” Micaela Fuchila, head of Australia and New Zealand economics at Bank of America, discusses what the RBA’s decision says about the outlook for the economy and monetary policy.
