http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MOSCOW – Over 50 designers are showcasing at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia, but Tatiana Parfionova’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is one of the most memorable. The collection starts with a movie where models are dressed in baggy outfits that look like a cross between a well-decorated potato sack and an Old World Russian peasant’s garment and are playing folk music with spoons. One plays the ukulele and sings. The models wear feather headwear in their hair. The collection that follows is a little more dressy with mixed fabrics like velvet, silk, and lace but still moves all over the place with mix and match prints, baggy dresses, and various coats. Parfionova knows how to make a statement and the designer, known for her heritage designs, seems to be saying something about Russian culture with this line.
