http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK – Rock n’ roll continues to live on, especially through the eyes of fashion designer, Phillip Lim, when he showcased his 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show during New York Fashion Week. The designer’s inspiration is a combination of 50s poets and 90s musicians along with a bunch of cut ups that were put back together. The collection included a variety of printed slouchy layers, sliced chiffon dresses, biker jackets, a bit of grunge, cropped tops and recut denim. Colors included white, black, ivory, lime green, peppermint, navy blue and grey. The whole idea of the cut up and recut techniques was to deliver a feminine rebellious motto. Lim also added some romance into the tough line such as pretty florals and halter tunics, very revealing and sexy. Leather played a big role as well as with solid bandeaus and high waisted skirts.
