Rep. Becca Balint unloads on Trump administration for false claims against detained students
Mohsen Mahdawi, who was born and raised in a refugee camp in the West Bank and is a U.S. permanent resident, was taken into custody by the Department of Homeland Security during his naturalization interview in Vermont on Monday. He is a Columbia University student and prominent peace activist who has publicly advocated for peace and unity with Jewish students. Yet the Trump administration continues to abduct and then smear these students as supporters of terrorism and as anti-Semitic. MSNBC senior contributing editor Michele Norris spoke to Vermont Congresswoman Becca Balint about the Trump administration crackdown and the fear it is causing.
