A 100-year-old World War II veteran is getting married to his 96-year-old fiancée — and they plan to hold the ceremony in a town near the French beaches where U.S. troops landed 80 years ago.

Harold Terens and his fiancée Jeanne Swerlin plan to marry in France in June. Terens will be honored by the French as part of the 80th anniversary celebration of their country’s liberation from the Nazis.
