African Heritage Meets Parisian Couture, Show of Imane Ayissi, Paris Haute Couture | FashionTV | FTV
Discover the fall/winter 2025-2026 collection of Imane Ayissi presented at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week! Ayissi’s collection is a heartfelt plea for the regeneration of nature, translated into breathtaking and poetic creations. Imane Ayissi holds the distinguished honor of being the first designer from Sub-Saharan Africa to be officially included on the Paris Haute Couture calendar. The designs were rich with floral and plant motifs, reflecting his vision of a world where nature is allowed to heal and flourish. A cornerstone of Ayissi’s brand, traditional African textiles, notably Cameroonian raffia, are masterfully integrated using haute couture techniques. This showcased the designer’s commitment to elevating African artisanal expertise on the global stage. Beyond aesthetics, the designs told a story, depicting flora and fauna through intricate prints, rich brocades, detailed embroidery, and the unique beading of small animals, inspired by traditional Yoruba culture.
