Kenzo Runway Show – Paris Fashion Week Spring 2012 PFW | FashionTV – FTV

http://www.FTV.com/videos PARIS – Designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim from Opening Ceremony have taken over the Kenzo label effective in July 2011. Could they live up to the Kenzo successes of the past? It looks likely, thanks to their stellar Spring 2012 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Besides the fact that their Opening Ceremony friends added to the fashion celeb-infused event (Jason Schwartzmen with music and Chloe Sevigny closed the show), we were wondering if we were going to see an Opening Ceremony imitation. Luckily, the designers did focus Kenzo Takada’s Japanese culture mixed with their French fashion knowledge and a sense of American sportswear, along with knits, taffeta, and color blocking. It was bright and a bit over-the-top but we think its energy will resonate with buyers from all over.
