Kimhekim for F/W 26-27: Decade of Light Unpacked, Paris Fashion Week | FashionTV | FTV
Share your impressions about the fall/winter 2026-2027 show unveiled at Paris Fashion Week! During Paris Fashion Week, Kimhekim celebrated its 10th anniversary with a collection that feels like a quiet exhale after a long, luminous breath. “Enter the Spectrum” is not a retrospective; it is a dissolution of past and future into one seamless, radiant vision. Creative director Kiminte KimheKim has spent a decade weaving ancient Korean royal heritage with contemporary playfulness, minimalism with bold experimentation, and now he distills it all into something intimate and effortless. The collection unfolds like a composition in light: sculptural hair pieces open the narrative, followed by quiet, uniform-inspired passages, moments of pure couture precision, and a soft yet vibrant finale. Each scene shifts gently across a spectrum of color, texture, and mood. Couture is no longer distant – it is brought closer to the body, translated into pieces that feel personal and wearable. Silhouettes rest with ease, volumes are controlled, and details whisper rather than declare. The maison’s signature craftsmanship – intricate draping, precise construction, thoughtful layering – remains, but it is now quieter, more intimate, more inhabitable. The spatial narrative reinforces the idea: an art crate is unloaded from Seoul to Paris on a gallery load-in day. Garments are carefully arranged, moved, revealed – as if the collection itself is an installation in motion. In Kimhekim’s world, every wearer becomes part of the mise-en-scene, a living piece of art.
