Explore the fall/winter 2026 collection of Dhruv Kapoor unveiled at Milan Fashion Week! The Indian designer Dhruv Kapoor turned his creative lens toward the ephemeral nature of modern existence. Drawing inspiration from the concept of “non-places”, a term coined by anthropologist Marc Auge in 1992 to describe transitory spaces like airports, hotel lobbies, and train stations, Kapoor sought to capture the specific psychological state of being in transit. In a world increasingly defined by the tedium of movement, the collection serves as an exploration of those moments when one is no longer at their origin but has not yet reached their destination. The silhouettes reinforced this travel-ready, effortless cool, highlighted by floor-sweeping duster coats paired with practical jeans and studded ballet flats. Kapoor’s design process emphasized the “unresolved,” leaving visible draft layers on checkered T-shirts and unfinished, ramage-like embroidery on denim and tartan skirts. This intentional lack of polish served as a deliberate antidote to contemporary society’s obsession with perfection. Bias-cut shirtdresses furthered the “in-between” theme with multiple vertical prints interrupted by glitch-like, pixelated white portions, mimicking the digital and physical distortions of constant movement.
