Sen. Cory Booker: ICE detention center a ‘moral stain,’ opposes more funding

After visiting Delaney Hall, a privately operated ICE detention center in Newark, Democratic Senator Cory Booker tells MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell that the facility is a “moral stain” on the community and said some detainees have been on a hunger strike since Friday. Booker accused the Trump administration of carrying out a “chaotic and cruel” immigration policy while enriching private prison contractors. The New Jersey Democrat said he “will not vote to give another dollar to ICE.”
