Shake and bake for chicken and fish. I learned to cook baked chicken this way. It was introduced in 1965 and is still going strong. Lots of recipes online for shake and bake. You guys also forgot FONDUE!

Having survived the 1970's yes I had them, But let me just say Cottage Cheese doesn't go with jello, and hotdogs should be served in a bun with mustard Ketchup, minced onions, and if you like relish…not in an aspiring ring mold😜

Why can't you have a diverse cast review these foods instead of just four women? I'm pretty sure Men ate Hamburger Helper and Hot Dogs in the 1970's. why are you excluding men?

I will still remember the 50s and 70s as the era of obscure mayonnaise jello salads in American households

I never liked Jello in the first place, and adding peas, onions, and WhatEvenIsThis to it is just insult to injury.

Hamburger Helper is still eaten every day by millions. It's not a 70s food. I lived thru the 70s and none of this rings a bell. Gelatin salad is from the 50s and 60s. Really, most of the crap these guys eat today were around then.

My mother always made a lime salad mold filled with mixed vegetables for family get togethers. The old fashion mixed vegetables with kidney beans. I hated it, but I was the only one. However, my grandchildren love orange jello with orange bits when I did it for a family get together. I added whipped cream mixed with orange jello powder on top. Used the diet version, as a lot of diabetics at the event. I wanted a bit of the 70s, only a nicer version. It went over well.
