I never saw Orr play but somehow I knew his flying goal was going to be number 1. The closest I ever saw him playing was the game where they retired his number. I've seen a fair bit of footage of him, he was an amazing player. Even before I saw footage of him I was an avid reader of hockey books and I knew he was beyond belief great. When you're a defenceman and you lead the league in points? That's freaking insane.

    #47 should be way higher

The Yzerman bar down clap from the blue line in double OT was my favorite, only goal in the whole game too!

Datsyuk only #47? That's the sickest thing I've ever seen someone do.

Was utterly dominate even when he was still in grammar school, the gap between himself and everyone else just grew from there.

Pretty sure he was ready to join the NHL at like 15 years old.

Thomas Tatar's goal on the devils vs the stars is easily top 25 all time goal scored ever no question about it.

3:50 he did it again against the Sabres

  12. @blairrice

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Should be called most important goals. Cause some of these aren’t even close to be the nicest ones

  13. @battistimo

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

This list is bogus. I’ve seen way better goals. In terms of pure goal construction, number 19 has to be in the top 5. It had sublime passing & an incredible finish.

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Shame the years robbed from Mario due to injury and illness. Big and fast. Probably could have broken Gretzky's goals record if he hadn't missed time

  15. @CipherSerpico

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Tim Connolly’s goal against the Senators is one of the Greatest Goals ever — Yet it never makes these kinds of lists.

Where is Theo Fluery’s sliding on his back goal vs. Oilers??

  17. @tracysmith5488

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

I’m surprised no goals by Paul Kariya are not here.

  18. @tracysmith5488

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Other goals that should be here:
    1. Pat Fontaine GW vs. Caps ‘87
    2. Jerome Iginla “The shift”
    3. Joel Ward GW eliminates defending champs Bruins
    4. Islanders win cup vs flyers on Bob Nystrom’s goal (‘80, I think??).
    5. Nick Bonino with Pittsburgh in SC Finals
    6. Neal Broten GW & climbing glass vs. Bruins (‘95).

How do you have Brett Hull's goal that should not have been allowed in the top 50 let alone to 10? It was important to the franchise, but never should have been allowed. This is dumb as hell!

  20. @michaelgriffiths8068

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Gretzky had far better goals than these. His best looking “most important” goal is the slap shot overtime goal over Mike Vernon’s shoulder against Calgary in the division finals. A perfect shot from the top of the circle, under pressure, that put the Oilers up 2-0 in the series and set the road to the Cup.

  21. @straptrg2301

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

How is Malkin’s hat trick goal vs the Hurricanes in the 2009 ECF not here?

  22. @nicolasbourbonnais1743

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    Biased much no habs

Datsuyks break away against dallas is the best move I ever saw til this day! Even though all his moves were sick. NO one had better hands. Dude was unreal with the puck.

  24. @ericcoil9655

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

@NHL you should do greatest conference finals series of all time for a video. Blackhawks vs Ducks 2015 should be considered

  25. @yonischecter5986

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Ovechkin vs Montreal absolutely missing from this list.

  26. @iloveedamon9815

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    Ovi’s should have been first

  27. @isthiswherewecamein6130

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

I'm sorry, but that Orr goal is COMPLETELY and TOTALLY over rated!!! I know I'm offending people, but, there was AT LEAST 38 better goals and probably 10 better backhand alone!!! Sorry Boston, just saying the truth. Guys have won Stanley Cups with goals since then, so it's not the only one that even did that, it's just REALLY not all that special anymore, besides the nostalgia of it. That's it.

  28. @patward8542

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

I can think of 3 or 4 Patrick Kane goals that should be on the list but not the goal that won the Stanley Cup in 2010? Come on now.

  29. @joeycaron2719

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Aucun but du CH. équipe de poches.

  30. @bobbyhulll8737

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

No Ron Hextall ? No Bobby Hull no Esposito , no Richard .. how about top Flashy goals that had no impact on the game

  31. @bobbyhulll8737

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    2 goals pre 1980 …great research kids !

  32. @sylvainmichaud2262

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    I've stopped at #50.
50 greatest goals of all time ?
There are about 3 goals a week like #50

  33. @Theglorious-eh3em

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    TOEWS AT 28 WHAT

  34. @arnaudandregirod6475

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

    Poorest video ever

  35. @digable_celestial_dwarfs6778

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Ovi's should be #1. Whether they're a Caps fan of not, when you say "best goal" pretty much everyone's mind immediately goes to that highlight.

  36. @averagejosh6699

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Who made this? They didn’t include the vast majority of the greatest playoff overtime goals (2010 SCF G6, 2014 SCF G5, 2018 R2 G6, John Walton call, etc.

  37. @ehawk3846

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

#1 is stupid. It shouldn’t be Orr.

  38. @ehawk3846

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

WEARE THE HECK IS PATRICK KANES STANLEY CUP GOAL?😡😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

  39. @dannyf96

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

#50 shouldn’t be on this list.

  40. @brettski3152

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

phaneuf's goal and hossa's goal don't belong on the all time list. kariya's off the mat goal against new jersey and kanes 2010 cup clinching goal are both far more deserving of being on an all time list. also add malkin's galloping goal against tampa and ovis insane playoff goal against the rangers. any of these are better then the phaneuf or hossa goals.

  41. @kade6913

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

So many brutal goals on this list

  42. @maltelauridsbrigge3776

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

34: Kane put himself offside, no? He was over the line before the puck touched the line. Still pretty though 🙂

  43. @ASENSATIONN

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

why is #2 #2 lol it was so basic

  44. @joe4242

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

Why they put Jason Voorhees in the goal?

  45. @zacharywerth3089

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

If you’re gonna include Bolland’s go-ahead goal in the 2013 Finals, how can you NOT INCLUDE KANE’S OT WINNER IN 2010!!! It’s not like Bolland’s goal required a ton of skill anyway…. I just can’t understand this ranking when you’ve got all the other cup winning OT goals but not the Kaner….

  46. @TristanLockamy

    December 28, 2023 at 11:19 am

I know these NHL countdowns hates the Preds for some reason, but they should’ve included Forsberg’s between the legs goal vs the Avalanche. I mean cmon
