Love this list, but I’m taking Lindros and Sundin over a lot of guys ahead of them. I understand the post season argument.

    Where is Datsyuk?

Niedermayer and Stevens ahead of Leetch? No. Just no.

Lidstrom top 10? LOL. One of the most overrated players in NHL history. His biggest accomplishment was playing with hall of famers for literally his entire career, and never playing on a bad team.

No Datsyuk on this list is a travesty……it voids the entire exercise. Go back and try again

What…. Mark Messier is a top 10 player, maybe even top 5.
I mean 3rd in points and 6 cups as one of the main guys on team

Pat LaFontaine. Take him over Modano in a heartbeat.

Granted, it is very difficult to put together a list like this because one has to compare eras, which is very challenging.

No Bob Gainey, the best defensive forward of all time. Created the Selke trophy because of him. Left out a lot of oldtimers. Ed Belfour at number 28 a head scratcher. Jaromir Jagr over Rocket Richard? If Jonathan Toews is in, so should be Patrice Bergeron. The overall choices in themselves are mostly sound; it's the order that is somewhat perplexing.

sorry to disagree Kane was great but is not superior to Datsuk in even one aspect of said game

you old timers ever see Pavel Datsuk shine the all time best stick handler, shooter puck thief while always playing great defense

Lindros at 84 is a joke. These lists suck. It's never about the best player, it's always about the player with the most story book career or the player that was GOOD for so long that they put up good total numbers.

It should be about a player at their elite best. If that was the case, Lindros is a top 5 forward.

  16. @pierrebertrand3716

    December 31, 2023 at 8:43 pm

Michel Goulet should be in that list

There's Quick, Lundqvist but not Carey Price. They even forgot PAVEL DATSYUK

    1 Wayne Gretzky – 2857 points
    2 Bobby Orr
    3 Lemieux

The whole time I’m scratching my chin wonder why Paul karyia wasn’t anywhere in this. Teemu wouldn’t have been as great as he was if it were for Paul and vice versa

    Joe Sakic ?
