Symphony of the Shrine by Wooyoungmi for F/W 26-27, Paris Fashion Week | FashionTV | FTV

Published

on

Step into a frozen Far Eastern fantasia where Madame Woo transports the Wooyoungmi universe to the historic platforms of the Gyeongin, South Korea’s inaugural railway, at Paris Fashion Week! This collection explores the golden age of travel by bridging the gap between the turn-of-the-century era of steam engines and the kinetic energy of the modern Seoul metro. The silhouette presents a sophisticated tug-of-war between Edwardian dandyism and the louche glamour of the 1970s, featuring body-conscious blazers and hourglass leather field jackets engineered to hug the physique. South Korean iconography is woven into the global winter wardrobe, replacing classic Nordic patterns with intricate dancheong temple motifs on knitwear. Cultural heritage is further celebrated through silk foulards and shirts depicting snow-covered pagodas and palatial winterscapes. The accessory range centers on a theme of protective elegance, where silver-logo collar bars and exotic-embossed heritage luggage evoke an air of old-world travel. Innovation meets tradition in the footwear and handwear, creating a symbiosis between high-fashion opera gloves and rugged, glazed leather hiking boots. Ultimately, Wooyoungmi F/W 26 defines a new era of nomadic glamour for the urban commuter who seeks both structure and opulence.

Colors included navy, denim, gray, cobalt and midnight blue in pure G-Star Raw style. “The collection is called Metropolitan Explorer,” says Women’s Denim Designer Rebekka Bach, “It’s inspired by adventurers and explorers of the 1920s.” Adds Global Brand Director Shubhankar Ray, “What you’re going to see in this collection is our traditional denim craftsmanship, mixed with very elegant, 1920s fabrics.” Celebrities like Rosario Dawson, Gemma Arterton, and Jared Leto comment on why they love the brand.

Saul Nash: Performance and Desire for S/S 27 | Milan Men Fashion Week 4K

Staged inside the historic Milanese Gymnastics Society “Forza e Coraggio”, London-based designer Saul Nash unveiled” Stance”, a groundbreaking spring/summer 2027 collection. Renowned for his movement-based design philosophy, Nash used the athletic backdrop to explore the complex intersections of masculinity, strength, and desire.

By merging the precision of formal tailoring with the kinetic freedom of technical sportswear, the collection served as an intimate, high-energy celebration of the male physique in motion.

“The collection began through researching archival imagery of sports figures and male pin-ups, examining how masculinity is constructed and performed through both clothes and gesture,” Nash explained.

This examination materialized in garments that simultaneously revealed and concealed the body. The classic wrestling singlet – reimagined as a symbol of sensuality – inspired bold graphics across compression tops and breathable mesh knits.

Meanwhile, ultra-lightweight nylon ripstop twinsets in powdery pale yellows and rustic oranges featured panels of varying opacities, offering fleeting slivers of the skin beneath.

Wardrobe staples were elevated through clever, performance-driven details: a floor-length double-breasted rain jacket engineered to catch the air as it strides, a merino wool pinstripe jacket equipped with a built-in hood, and structural suit jackets fitted with elasticated backs that nodded to traditional fencing uniforms.

Walter Rodrigues Spring 2012 Show ft Debora Muller – FFW Fashion Rio Fashion Week | FashionTV – FTV

http://www.FTV.com/videos RIO DE JANEIRO – The Walter Rodrigues Summer 2012 collection at FFW Fashion Rio was more conservative casual then it was summery. While it did have colors like khaki, white, and brown, hemlines were long, trousers were baggy and loose (in comparison to the tight and form fitting swimsuits) we’ve seen in the past) and jackets looked like they could transition into Fall. As the colors turned to turquoise, the shapes were still loose and flowing but not of the typical Brazilian scene. Hair on models was in a braid atop the head making it look just that much more of a high-neck look rather than something for the Rio rhythm. Brazilian model Debora Muller closed out the cool collection.
