A now-deleted video from the White House’s Youtube page shows President Trump at a closed press event claiming that the federal government cannot fund programs like day care, Medicaid, and Medicare, saying “we’re fighting wars.”  Journalist Bryan Metzger downloaded the video before it was removed from Youtube and shared it on X.

After the video went viral, the White House said Trump’s remarks were taken “out of context.
