Utilitarian style and the trench coat was featured heavily during Salvatore Ferragamo’s Spring 2013 collection.
The Antonio Marras Spring 2013 is set up as a funky wedding dinner where the guests wear eye-popping floral prints and camoflouge.
Missoni’s collection is whiter than usual, though the signature prints come in later.
Alberta Ferretti uses water and femininity to her liking.
Emilio Pucci’s sheer and sexy fabrics and print kimonos come in all shapes and sizes.
Fendi’s scientist/mathematician focuses on futuristic color blocking and geometric prints.
Giorgio Armani’s silky chic and watercolor prints are sophisticated and smooth as ever.
Roberto Cavalli’s colorful bohemian chic is in full effect for the younger set at Just Cavalli.
Gucci makes a 60s comeback with colors and ruffles that pop.
Marni is retro chic and oversize though minimalism works its way in.
Prada has its own blend of Oriental motifs, and yes, geish platform water shoes.
Frankie Morello has colorful sheen and glitter in full effect this season.
Dolce & Gabbana has Italian stars in every corner and beautiful sailor stripes and Sicilian prints to catch the eye
Etro pops with Oriental motifs and kimono shapes.
Versace was tight and sexy, but more laid back chic than usual.

Gilles Mendel takes a moment from the hubbub backstage to talk to FashionTV. “This Fall collection has been inspired by a Vogue editorial by Diane Vreeland in Barcelona,” he says. The line contains beautiful architecture and texture as well as a beautiful mosaic. There’s a mix of fabrics and a lot of surprise. “Furs are going to be amazing!” he exclaims. Australian model Nicole Trunfio is backstage in a tight ivory dress, beige heels and matching fur. “He uses such luxurious fabrics and its very elegant and timeless,” she says of the designer and the brand. Trunfio is a busy girl, traveling to Miami and Paris for modeling and working on a jewelry line that is out in March 2012.
