What people don't understand about Malaysia foreign policy is that, Malaysia see the benefit of China and USA both exist. There cannot be either one. China is there to keep US in check, and US is there to do the same. ASEAN countries are not neutral, the Malayan Emergency, Vietnam war proves that. It's simply more beneficial to not choose a side at the moment, but if things spiral downward, there is no doubt that Malaysia will side with ASEAN and Commonwealth countries. Malaysia is part of FDPA defence agreement, all of FDPA countries are Democratic countries. Malaysia is not pro-China or USA, she is pro-Malaysia.

America is not a Member of UNCLOS!!!
Therefore America has no Right to Interfere in the Disputes of Territory Disputes in the South and East China Seas!!!
Who does America think they are!!!
America has Territory Disputes around the World, does this Mean that Russia, China, India, Africa, Etc, should Send their Military Weapons, Build Bases, Arm all the Countries Surrounding America, Threatening and Forcing America to Return the Stolen Territories!!!

i'm with anwar on this. the journalist is obviously stirring shit by promoting USA facist values.. USA armies please get lost from our peaceful ASEAN!!! We asean countries have our own armies and our own ideals. stop shoving facist sick pro-USA values in our faces. get your armies out of our turf! we welcome trade and cooperation. not war mongering morons!

  25. @michaels.demayo1407

    December 31, 2023 at 3:10 am

China only stop their communist tactics in South China Sea if all country support and implement international law like UNCLOS this is only the way for peaceful resolution in the region!

  26. @michaels.demayo1407

    December 31, 2023 at 3:10 am

China always used the words dialogue and consultation but in the actual situation, their Coast Guard, always harassed, water cannoning and pointed military greed lasers at our Philippine Coast Guard it is very clear that China's goal is to expand and dominate all South China Sea and if others neighbors like Malaysia always be a neutral in the South China Sea, when the time comes you realize that being a neutral China is already in your backyard!

  27. @michaels.demayo1407

    December 31, 2023 at 3:10 am

China is a traitor in many ways its tactics are to trap all neighbors in debt through investment. Through this trap, neighbors cannot react there in South China to continue their ambitions to control the South China Sea. That's why the Philippines did not only focus on China's investment but on all countries that the Philippines can trust.

  36. @wucwug

    December 31, 2023 at 3:10 am

It is new for her because Bloomberg likes to twist questions and create sensations that will fit the narrative of the west, especially this lady. You can see her coming off trying to create narratives that can generate tension in the support for BRICS earlier immediately after G20 summit in India. And in this interview, you can see her rearranging her questions throughout trying extremely hard to corner an answer favourable to US by Malaysian PM expressing a preference, but failed.
Great job PMX!! I'm so glad you are our PM answering with a cool head to this sort of manipulative interview (as it shows up very very clearly in her last question about – which she couldn't even said who is who correctly).

  39. @annehersey9895

    December 31, 2023 at 3:10 am

I know this was shown 8 days ago but already there is a lot of tension between China and the Philippines. The problem is that ASEAN uses the Internation Waters line while China refuses to recognize the boundaries that the entire world agrees on. China must play by the International rules and NOT be the Bully of the East like its buddy Russia is in the WEst.
