   I’m black and I was raised in Somalia. I had a chance to meet Al Sharpton and all I can say is he is a very racist and disrespectful man. We don’t claim him in the community. Maybe communist China and North Korea will accept him.

    Sorry but Allen lawsuit is questionable because no one can claim that there must be a mechanism that forces a business or individual to either buy or sell something based solely upon its owners ethnicity, gender, or any other qualifier. Indeed the Constitution forbids that any Law can be created that either serves or denies a group or individual alone to the detriment of others and his arguments maybe compelling but he's asking the Courts to do just the opposite. The Supreme Court has already signaled its doubts about the case since several Justices have asked how it can enforce diversity without denying it at the same time because it would require that in order to do so it would have to force a quota system. Ethnicity not Race is now the legal definition, but so is Gender, Religion, and nearly any other Identity since legally it can be just as compelling as the next. The ultimate truth is that owners forget their own rather quickly because as they start out on their own they become a rival to you and it's human nature to keep them behind you than let them leave you in the dust..

    This host doesn't understand what Byron is saying. When Byron speaks about the data, the host doesn't get it. The US's journalism, whether print media or television has gone down tremendously since the beginning of the 21st century. Everything Byron stated is correct.

    Part of the problem is that all corporations care about is making money. Advertisers know that Blacks consume White centered media, so they know that advertising there covers the Black audience and they don't see an imperative to spend as much on Black focused media. This is different when it comes to Hispanic marketing. If you look inside advertising and marketing agencies they will have a Hispanic division strictly focused on that market. This is not excusing the lack of focus on Black only dollars, but an explanation of what I have seen from the inside.
