I agree that Trump hasn't been good for Christianity in America or anywhere else. But the simple fact that the religious right in America so eagerly embraced someone who is the exact opposite of Jesus Christ, and what Jesus taught indicates they were not real Christians to begin with. Let's not blame this all on Trump. The holier than thou religious zealots are not happy practicing their religion or embracing the religion. They want to force they're simple minded views , disguised as religion, onto the rest of us. We have to stop them.

So well said, Sarah, (SE), There’s no question that Dump has decimated the mainstream church, and only the “elect” remained resistant to the delusion and deception he cast like a diabolical spell over them. By worshipping him they have committed spiritual suicide. And for this reason, he’s still not out of the running to be the actual Antichrist. He certainly is Anti-Christian, the opposite of everything Jesus taught and represented. The problem is when the church rejected Jesus in place of Dump, Jesus is pushed back and the angels are pushed back with Him, because He is the head of the angelic forces. When this happens two terrible things result: (1) the protections angels have always given us are removed so terrible things begin to increase, accidents, calamities, etc… and (2) demons rush in and take their place causing an increase in evil, lawlessness, and insanity. These are dangerous times indeed, as Dump has caused a ton of harm that has yet to be registered or understood.

Very well said. “Trump has Trumped Jesus.” The evangelicals were already broken. The KKK terrorized, lynched and burned people in the name of Christianity in the presence of mobs of what has now become evangelicals. This was normal behavior and has since morphed into what we see today. However the undercurrent is still the same. But the GOD of Heaven is the Judge. He said this about Nineveh in Nahum 3:5 says: “I am your enemy!” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “And now I will lift your skirts and show all the earth your nakedness and shame.” The nations of the earth have been watching the US for a while. Now they’re making it known that they “really” see her and are turning against her.

I say no. I think Christianity was already broken. Trump came aloha and simply gave the shenanigans, power seeking and Authoritarian aims of the organization high visibility. Though I suspect the pandemic quarantine helped to distance the believer from the frequent dosing of psychological conditioning, allowing them to find out that life is the same, with or without a supernatural safety blanket. The Right's last resort to maintain the Psychological hold on the masses is to drive the government to Theocracy.

It's easy to suggest that Trump "broke" Christianity, but the deeper reality is that when Evangelical Christianity lined up behind the Republican Party, behind labelling those in need of a hand-out as "Welfare Moms" (with, of course, Racist undertones, because that has ALWAYS been part of White Evangelical "Christianity" in the US); behind an idea that the Second Amendment (and a particular interpretation of it) is as important as the Beatitudes and the Commandments; behind the idea that immigrants are "unwelcome"; behind a "Prosperity Gospel", then they had already abandoned the Biblical Christ.
Trump is jut their LATEST Jesus Replacement…

Christianity was a joke long before Trump and and only got worse since Trump if that is possible. My belief in God has nothing to do with any religion. And not in a Bible that don't even know where the sun goes at night and says God gave his OK to slavery. It makes God sound like a idiot. And my god know everything. But that God is dumb.
