President Trump imposed new tariffs on Canadian goods over the weekend after talks collapsed, while Canada’s prime minister says his country is “at war” with the U.S.
Trump on Monday also said in a social media post that he will ratchet up tariffs on Canada-made cars and auto parts in January.

It's shameful how he later explains his comments as "unfortunately and fortunately" this is one of the benefits of being a star. Here’s my assessment. Trump was starting to lead in the polls against Hillary. So on Oct 7, 2016, the Washington Post (possibly fearing that Trump could win) released this audio (possibly at the request of Hillary herself) first to NBC News which, like Access, is distributed by NBC Universal. It was a last ditch effort to sink Trump because this recording was used just a day or two later in a HILLARY Clinton campaign ad.
It may sound like a conspiracy theory but think very deeply. And I’m not a Trump fan either.
By the way, why wasn’t this tape revealed a year earlier? Washington Post had this for over a decade. Had this audio been released before Trump won the Republican nomination, I assure you, he would’ve been done from the get go.
But then again that’s my assessment. I could be wrong.
