Please answer this question: if Israel leadership is saying the Palestinians have been taught to hate Jews and pray for the destruction of Israel for generations that would mean the vast majority of the Palestinian population support Hamas's objective? How is it possible to occupy Gaza without exterminating and/or imprisoning almost the entire population? How do you deal or find trust with those simply harboring such thoughts and feelings? Generational and ingrained racism, anti-semitism or any other form of animus takes generations to overcome. Americans are trying fitfully to overcome generational legalized and accepted animus towards a former slave population. Netanyahu is not being honest and skirts the humanitarian issue. In an interview he repeated his vow to eradicate Hamas 'once and for all'. Fine. But then he added he wanted to eradicate also Palestinians who have been radicalized by Hamas, noting that Hamas has taught Palestinian children to hate Jews and presumably a desire to destroy Israel. So is it his goal to kill active Hamas terrorists as well as young Palestinian people who only hate Jews and are happy about what happened on Oct 7th? So Palestinians who express radical views that includes hatred of Israel and Jews are legitimate targets for IDF? That could mean hundreds of thousands of Palestinian could deemed radicalized and put to death for being just angry because their child, sister, mother etc was just killed. Can you successfully eradicate thoughts and feelings in the minds of young Palestinians or anyone having been 'radicalized' for years? How much has the Israel population have been 'radicalized' to hate Palestinians through the years? These are thorny questions Netanyahu prefers not to answer. It's easier to just wipe out population and let god sort them out as it were?
