Former President Donald Trump’s businesses received at least $7.8 million from 20 foreign governments during his presidency, according to new documents released by House #Democrats on Thursday. The transactions, detailed in a 156-page report called “White House For Sale” was put together by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, accuse Trump of exploiting the presidency to financially benefit himself and members of his family. The payments came from 20 countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Qatar, Afghanistan, and China – who was the leading spender. House Oversight Democrats specifically accuse Trump of violating the Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause, which prohibits the president from profiting from foreign governments without the approval of Congress.
