I think what is happening is the world is disgusted with the genocide of the Palestinian people. There has been a response to this genocide globally, especially at educational institutions. We do have protected free speech in America. The role of the educational institution is to remain unbiased, to not pick sides. The role of the educational institution is to educate only. These gyrations felt through society will need to play out on their own, without the federal government mandating how people are allowed to think. The majority of Americans are struggling to put basic food on the table for their families. Few Americans will have the stomach to provide unconditional global financial support in the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars a year – to a people who ultimately see the world as US vs Them, Gods People vs the Gentiles. To a people actively committing genocide against a Palestinian people who have been forced into ghettos, concentrated into camps. Few Americans believe the narrative any longer, and most people are really struggling to understand how this group who was allegedly the victim of the holocaust, has been treating the Palestinian people worse than how the Hitler treated the Jews. We would think after a minority group underwent such unspeakable acts – they would have developed basic empathy towards their fellow humans. We would think this group would champion human rights, having understood the darkness humans can become. But alas, instead, Israel is the GENOCIDAL MANIAC. This is making a lot of people really question history, and to what extent propaganda truly has shaped our understanding of global affairs.
