Yup, ASML lost both a valueable customer and their monopoly in the game. It's just a matter of time when China will catch-up with latest lithography technology.
The same was the case with Russian sanctions. I am really happy that American goonism is backfiring

Every advanced Western technology will eventually be copied by China.. when it is of strategic importance which chip production is… . However, copied systems mostly never match the ultra-high quality of the Western origin and mostly show earlier malfunction..

The disturbing observation is that The West has ganged up to hinder Chinas prosperity even though China has not invaded ANY COUNTRY, unlike Russia, USA, UK…etc
Their simple hope is that China collapses like the Soviet Union.

Now they're actively discussing how to stop Chinese Electric Vehicle firms because China is outpacing Tesla and other Traditional Carmakers. They will fabricate lies about spying that will never be observed by ANY Cyber Security Expert.

China just wants to be rich. Is that offensive😢😢

7 months later we know China can make 7nm chips. But I want to catch up with you on EUV Lith Machine for chip making for 5nm, 3nm and even further: China has figured out that they REALLY DON'T NEED ASML Lith Machine for EUV lights. The EUV light is used to create the 5nm, 3nm or even 2nm chips. But instead of coming up with its own complicated Lith Machines for EUV lights, China simply built a 1K square kilometers LITH FACTORY. They don't need a machine to build chips. They simply built a factory to build chips. So the light will travel across the factory over hundreds of meters. And they could go through stages to extract the proper wavelength lights for any chip developments. The LITH FACTORY could support 28nm, 14nm, 7nm, 5nm, 3nm, 2nm and even further, you name it.

China realized that they don't need to have small form factors of Lith Machines that need to ship across oceans. They just need a mechanism to build chip. That mechanism could be as big as a factory. So China created a LITH FACTORY for chip making. Amazing!

  38. @perrylee1913

In the past, China thought just buy what needed from the United or Japan. Now, we all the sudden want to completely stop them from buying and even fabrication equipment. So, the trust is destroyed and of course they have to build their own. Is that a common sense?

USA should sell chips to China as otherwise whom you will sell chips to? only South Korea develops phones and they had Taiwan supply chips to them.
