Enchanting Luxury by Fendi, Paris Couture Spring/Summer 2021

Enjoy the stunning spring/summer 2021 collection of Fendi, the first one created by Kim Jones for the iconic brand. The source of inspiration was Virginia Woolfe’s book Orlando. Set in an almost dreamlike world, models paraded through a stunning glass maze erected in the form of Fendi’s famous double-F logo. The show opens with Demi Moore striding out in a silky black pantsuit with a plunging off-the-shoulder neckline. Other models are A-listers as well – Kate Moss and her daughter Lila, Ditto Christy Turlington and her nephew James, plus Bella Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Adwoa Aboah and Naomi Campbell.

Naomi Elaine Campbell is an English model, actress, and businesswoman. Discovered at the age of 15, she established herself amongst the most recognisable and in-demand models of the late 1980s and the 1990s and was one of six models of her generation declared supermodels by the fashion industry and the international press. In addition to her modelling career, Campbell has embarked on other ventures, including an R&B-pop studio album and several acting appearances in film and television, such as the modelling-competition reality show The Face and its international offshoots. Campbell is also involved in charity work for various causes.

Isabella Khair Hadid is an American model. In 2016, she was voted “Model of the Year” by industry professionals for Models.com.

Adwoa Caitlin Maria Aboah is a British fashion model. In December 2017 she appeared on the cover of British Vogue. She has also been on the cover of American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Poland, and i-D. In 2017, the fashion industry voted her as Model of the Year for models.com.

Cara Jocelyn Delevingne is an English model, actress, and singer. She signed with Storm Management after leaving school in 2009. Delevingne won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2012 and 2014. Delevingne started her acting career with a minor role in the 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina.

Christy Nicole Turlington Burns is an American model, charity-founder and campaigner, and filmmaker. She represented Calvin Klein’s Eternity campaign in 1989 and again in 2014, and also represents Maybelline.

Katherine Ann Moss is an English model and businesswoman. Born in Croydon, Greater London, she was recruited as a model in 1988 at age 14 by Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm Model Management. Arriving at the end of the “supermodel era”, Moss rose to fame in the mid 1990s as part of the heroin chic fashion trend. Her collaborations with Calvin Klein brought her to fashion icon status. She is known for her waifish figure, and role in size zero fashion. She received an award at the 2013 British Fashion Awards to acknowledge her contribution to fashion over 25 years. Moss is also a contributing fashion editor for British Vogue. Moss has had her own clothing range and has been involved in musical projects. She has won accolades for modelling. In 2007, Time named her one of the world’s 100 most influential people. She has inspired cultural depictions including 18 carat gold statue of her, sculpted in 2008 for a British Museum exhibition.

Fendi is an Italian luxury fashion house producing fur, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, fragrances, eyewear, timepieces and accessories. Founded in Rome in 1925, Fendi is known for its fur and fur accessories, and for its leather goods such as “Baguette”, 2jours, Peekaboo, and Pequin handbags.

We call Paris one of the four fashion capitals, together with Milan, New York and London, but truly Paris is nothing less but the only fashion capital of the world. We aren’t stating that just out of pure love for the City of Lights but merely as a fact. This magnificent city is the cradle of fashion.
