If most of the GOP leadership wasn't directly involved in Trump's Jan 6 insurrection they are now in trying to protect those who were.

This is a United States law. Notice it says about "incapable of holding any office under the United Sates" This is what many republican politicians are scared of and lying about the Jan, 6th Capitol Attack.

    18 U.S. Code § 2383 – Rebellion or insurrection
Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
    (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, §?330016(1)(L), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2147.)

And Josh, Lindsey, Marjorie, Cruz, McConnell & everyone who voted against the formation of the Jan 6th commission. Drain the fking swamp once & for all. If they don't the next domestic terrorist attack by traitors of Democracy will be bloodier than the first.

The Republicans who want to block any investigation into the insurrection are guilty of aiding or planning it.

Yes Liz Cheney should be on the committee. I’m proud of Nancy Pelosi for putting her there. There are witnesses that saw trump and the fact that he didn’t call anyone for help. He needs to be in prison. Because of him over 500,000 people died. I agree with this man about the fact that no republicans should be on the committee. Liz Cheney has witnessed trump doing bad things.

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.
