She doesn’t know what to feel, she doesn’t want to disappoint her mother out of all people. The mother might be saying “do whatever is right for you” but she doesn’t really mean it. That’s why Paris feels the need to be perfect all the time and snaps.

at 2mins 46secs, have a lot at paris' body language when its mother comes to comfort her.
her head is tilted to the right as her mother sits to her left, in attempt to comfort her.
this body language displays that her mothers attempt to comfort her is not wanted as she doesnt sppear to understand her daughter at all, especially right now.
paris is trying to convey her concerns about this fella being weak & she knows it. shes knows shes going to swollow this fella up, because shes mentioned this before.
these people show us who they are, and what theyre about. yet due to our blind trust, e dint see it for what & how it is. this fact makes us sadder than these types can ever be

I feel hopeful that Kathy is geniune in trying to fix the trauma Paris has experienced and to change how they interact to a more healthy way. I don't get the same vibe from Nicky, but maybe I'm missing something. As for the fiance, that's a tough one. What I've personally learned is that until you heal yourself, heal the hurt and anger and damage from your past, relationships are a challenge. Mostly because you can't fully trust the people around you, even the one you love most. And it's true, people do tend to gravitate towards the same problematic relationships over and over again. And the dangerous part is that it's easy to trade one kind of abuse for another. I went from a physically abusive relationship to a mentally abusive relationship to an emotionally abusive relationship, the last being my marriage. I thought because he "was a good guy" and got along with everyone, that the issues I had were my issues. Thankfully, I figured things out about about 12-15 years together and ended the marriage. Poor Paris, trying to do what she believes is "normal", trying to manage all of her very high expectations of herself, trying to make everyone around her happy, and not having anyone to relay how she really, honestly feels…. that is a special kind of hell. I hope that she can find her way through all of this and come through happy, healthy, and at peace with herself.
