The journey through the Darien Gap is a perilous jungle crossing between Colombia and Panama that many migrants must face as they head north to seek asylum in the United States. Over five harrowing days, Paton Walsh hikes the full 66-mile roadless route, documenting the heroism of everyday people, milked for cash by drug cartels and unwanted by any country, as they battle the dense rainforest in search of a better life. President Donald Trump plans to use part of a primetime speech Thursday to discuss new findings about the security of American elections, among other topics — setting up yet another high-profile opportunity for the president to dispute the results of the 2020 election he lost. Speaking in the Oval Office two days ahead of the planned address, Trump affirmed the speech would focus on elections and a “couple of other things.”
Officials said the speech is still being finalized, but Trump was expected to discuss several topics. He’s still deeply mired in his conflict with Iran, with nightly strikes in the country as he seeks a path to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Even as that war appears to be restarting, however, Trump framed the elections portion of his Thursday speech as the centerpiece.

These people shouldn’t be allowed into the US. We need to take care of our citizens first for once. Starving American children don’t matter though. Just let these illegal immigrants drain social security we pay into and cause inflation that our elderly on a fixed income can’t afford but fuck the Americans who made this country great. Let all these people just destroy it. The need to seek asylum in the next neighboring country not just come to the USA. It wouldn’t be so bad if they had to conform to American lifestyle and it should be a requirement for the person seeking citizenship speaks English otherwise come back when you’re fluent in English. Americans shouldn’t be losing out on jobs because they don’t speak multiple languages when the language here is English not Spanish or any other language.
