When Chinese celebrities get a problem, they don’t get exposed instantly, instead they may choose willingly or unwillingly to disappear from public views, so their problems wouldn’t have wider impact. That’s just cultural differences. These attacks on such cultural differences are so Western minded and frankly weird in Chinese views. It’s like telling a bad joke about China but only the West could get it.

If anyone makes Xi unhappy, they will disappear, or commit suicide, or die of illness or be hit by cars. This is not surprising in a communist country. Even if those people ran away from that country, that can happen overseas too.
