F’em all this bs took soooo long to do. Congress is still a bad joke. Still feel misrepresented, synical and disenchanted. Why are we empowering these people? This government is full of self serving liars. Trump is one of the worst but there are many many more. People going to stop giving a f’ck, until they are fed up then they will revolt.

The folks that voted him in should hide their face. They had no idea and swallowed his Jewish lies hook line & sinker. Wasting the people's $ on botox. This scenario also should condem those Republicans for keeping him in office for his vote.

Santos we know lies. That will be the defence of people he ‘exposes’. He is probably telling the truth (for the first time?) but it is too late. He is also exposing his own criminality AGAIN by admitting to knowing about other representatives crimes and doing nothing until now … when motivated by ego driven revenge. Standard GOP practices are now on show.

What if Trump is elected and wants to oust members of Congress? First, he isn't going to get elected. And remember: It's not a thing done on a whim as a ⅔ approval vote is required. Doubtful republicants are gonna have 287 seats next term. Cheers….

Santos and 🍊💩 would have never been elected if the news media had actually done THEIR jobs. Learn the lessons you were supposed to learn, news media, and start reporting facts instead of just your own opinions. Stop reporting to get clicks and start reporting facts. Our democracy requires a factual and capable news media. Oh, and you will be the first casualty if republicans get the Whitehouse back and/or get full control of congress.

This story seems over already – except for the fact that the Santos trial is set for Sept. 9. That is a gift to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Expect ads – not only in NY but nationwide – bringing everyone back to this moment, when the entire House Republican leadership – Johnson, Scalise, Emmer, Stefanik, and Palmer – voted to keep Santos in office.

  39. @estherma7408

    December 15, 2023 at 11:13 am

Santos is a reflection of the times. People talk their way to the top and everyone nods if the person packages themselves a certain way. He followed Trump’s playbook. I think the people who didn’t vote to expel may fear that the tool to expel is exploited. Hopefully he is found guilty. I am surprised he wasn’t escorted out by security or in handcuffs. That is what happens to a government worker when they get fired. Congress and government workers are not the same thing.
