What Went Wrong With Walmart?
Bloomberg’s Poonam Goyal said Walmart’s earnings miss is largely due to lagging pharmaceutical sales impacted by new federal negotiations aimed at delivering lower drug prices. Goyal said that it’s an issue that both the company and investors are expecting to continue affecting sales. Goyal said that Walmart could have the opportunity to calm concerns about flagging US sales growth by focusing on bringing in customers with competitive pricing.

You can only get the money from your so account pay and no additional fees or any earnings beyond that is required to live on and, legal benefits by the government no more! should be allowed for all of leaders if you have small amount in your muyable bank account or larger number outside your pay
@bowlampar
December 15, 2023 at 6:14 am
The claims by Singaporean government that paying top $$$ on salary and generous fringe benefits for cabinet minister would stop any minister to accept bribe is only happen in a fairy tale, not in reality. Greed has no limit , it's part of human nature, the high remuneration package only can lesser the temptation to take bribe , not eliminate it totally.

December 15, 2023 at 6:14 am
The very fact that the Singapore govt quotes one of the reasons to pay such high salaries is to keep the ministers clean clearly indicates that these ministers are prone to corruption. So, can that part of the amount considered as payment to prevent corruption be renamed "anti- corruption compensation" so that the public is aware of it? Every minister must be ashamed to receive such a compensation as this is a reflection on their charecter. Any person coming into politics is to serve the people. Compensation should be the last thing in their minds. Only people genuinely in possession of high morals should be in politics and serve the people by holding prestigious ministerial offices. There may be some in this cabinet with such high morals but for such persons to continue receiving such compensations without questioning raises enough doubts on their charecters.

December 15, 2023 at 6:14 am
A nonsense release on bail and nonsense zero tolerance. Just say because they have money to pay for the release a.k.a bribe the government. Actually singapore has hidden corruption all this while by looking at how many rich people flocked from China, but singapore govt failed to screen their assets, from where their assets come, whether they earned legally or illegally or from gambling business. China has already warned and placed arrests to these rich people, meaning these people have illegal assets and illegal business, but singapore still allows them to store their assets and still grants them asylum like PR or citizenship.

Singapore's foundation is the looted money deposited by tax evaders and also criminals from Myanmar, Malaysia, India, Phillpines, Indonesia etc. High Salaries given to Ministers have no effect. WEF controls Singapore through the MAS Chairman Shanmugharatnam. It has zero natural resources.

Lee Kuan Yew – was Ong's Beng Seng's bedfellow.
1996 saga – Nassim Jade / Scotts 28.
Another bosom buddy, the PM at the time
conveniently "cleared" both LKY and LHL of wrong doing.
If anyone had anything to say or questions to ask
they would be sued and left homeless.
Lee Kuan Yew made sure to
reserve corruption for himself
and those he approved of/his circle.
Nothing has changed.
1) If you hurt LKY's feelings
2) had a clash of opinion with him
3) or surpassed his popularity
you would no longer be in the emperors good graces.
The stage would be set.

‘’The earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed” – Mahatma Gandhi.
The Singapore ministers are paid more than S$1,000,000 each per annum, with one of the key justifications that a low pay package may result in a corrupt cabinet. It appears that the much loved and respected late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew had overlooked what Mahatma Gandhi had once said.

The news is getting worse…a Minister is suspended from his duties. A famous tycoon is arrested but allowed to travel. Just days apart. I presume there will be more developments soon. This is such a shock and coming soon after parliamentary debates on the rental of government properties, an expletive uttered by the Speaker.
The massive investment losses and the GDP is hardly growing. Add on the global situation, etc. Not a good outlook.
