The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said they will appeal a Colorado judge’s rejection of their bid to keep Donald Trump off the state’s 2024 presidential ballot.

This judge clearly did not want to be the first of many judges to rule that Trump does not belong on the ballot. In other words, this judge didn't have the guts to do the right thing!

According to 5 USC § 7353(d)(2) an officer is ANY appointed or elected official that holds office in any branch other than in congress. So the president very much counts and I don't care what warped interpretation this Colorado judge is taking, because it IS warped.

Thank you for the decision to pursue this. I feel it was a case of "splitting hairs" saying this didn't include a president. Know there are people who are supporting your decision to appeal this. I find your efforts to keep Donald Trump off the ballot to be the most sane and proactive move I've seen in this country to fight for democracy.

The president is THE MOST IMPORTANT person for the 14th amendment to apply to. It is insane that any reasonable thinking human could conclude otherwise. It is the most critical office to keep an insurrectionist out of. To conclude otherwise is just disregarding reality. Simply insane.
